Loosing federal support for Roe v. Wade is devastating. States are in limbo and so are reproductive rights. Our ability to choose how we handle our own reproductive organs are at risk. Those without access are in even greater risk. Medical professionals are already delaying care unsure of what is permissible or not in certain states. This work is a public service announcement to America to GTFO of our bodies, uterus, our futures, and our ability to decide what is best for us. Lives are at risk and there is already so much blood on America's hands.

An Ode to Light In Love
Dark in Light
Light in Dark
Together inside always.
Light to be found,
Light to be revealed,
Light to be balanced.
Light in love
Love in passion
Love in self
Love in creation
Love in potential
Love untapped
Love to be discovered
Love to be revealed
Love to be unsilenced
Love mounting new heights
Love in light
Light in love
No more no less
A balance
Propelled
Withholding nothing
Light and love unleashed
Harmonically entwined
Intersecting and layered
Unbound yet bound to each other
Tethered in honesty, transparency,
Clarity
Here
In Light
In Love
With myself.
Light is a passage way
Leading to new adventures
They remind me of the possibilities
The opportunities that may come my way.
They are symbolic.
Surrounded by the darkness that could not succeed.
Light bleeds through
Degrading darkness to the simplicity of a frame.
There is something about blinding light,
That stirs my spirituality.
There is something rewarding about sight,
That satisfies curiosity.
Through dark passage ways
To be enlightened by light
Which may strain your sight,
But through blinding light reveals remarkable truth.
My eye has been trained
By someone far greater and true
My vision seems filtered
Monochromatic, no hues.
Blacks and whites honor geometry and the lessons they teach;
Simplicity in lines, angles, and space in between.
Absent of verbose visuals
No human figures for scale
I subconsciously create a graphic image
Two-dimensional from what is real.
Doorways and windows
Leave the room for things to come and go.
Reflections and refraction,
Creating something new from the original.
I seek them
Discover
I attempt to organize what nature presents
Breaking rules or embracing clichés
I make it my own
The moment I connect.
Light is something I seem to collect,
Photographically I preserve what I cannot get.
Artists have rumored about the light found in the South of France.
I recognize it’s quality
From the surfaces it befriends.
The cobblestone
The valley
Ancient ruins and foreign lands
Muted colors to stain glass windows
That share stories of civilizations once lived.
Past lives and lives yet to be lived
The light I observe is hope
I bask in
Wisdom
Glory
Magnificence
It’s infinite possibilities
Feeds my optimism.
My relationship with light is an affair that has no end.
Every time we meet I learn something new or I’m reminded of what we share.
A successful image is a compliment.
It’s a blessing I don’t care to comprehend.
When I photograph light lends me it’s hand.
We walk, we talk, we embrace even when night falls.
All in my head?
I suppose.
But these photographs are proof of our love affair, exposed.
